Panel Discussion: Space Exploration, through the eyes of telescope, robots and humans

EUROAVIA Stockholm would like to invite you to its new space-related event, the online Panel DiscussionSpace Exploration, through the eyes of telescope, robots and humans

We have decided to go big for our first post-summer event, recruiting two speakers with an incredible background: Dr. Christer Fuglesang, full professor at KTH and former ESA astronaut and Giuseppe Cataldo, lead mission and instrument systems engineer at NASA.

Dr. Fuglesang has participated in two Space Shuttle missions, STS-116 and STS-128, where he contributed to the assembly of the International Space Station (ISS). At KTH, he is director of KTH Space Center, and he is the former responsible of the AeroSpace Master program, where he teaches the course Human Spaceflight.

Dr. Cataldo has worked for 10+ years at NASA, and he is an expert in the design and optimisation of space systems for astronomy and astrophysics. He has contributed to a variety of NASA missions including the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), scheduled to be launched by the end of the year.

If you are interested about space exploration and you want to know more about how we can explore the universe, don’t miss this event! The webinar will be structured as a panel discussion, and we will ask our speakers the questions that you submitted during registration. Plus, you will have the opportunity to satisfy additional curiosities during the event!

The talk will take place on Wednesday, 15th of September 2021, at 18:00 CET via Zoom (https://kth-se.zoom.us/j/68850627705)

Members from all the EUROAVIA associations can participate and also whoever is interested to be a member of EUROAVIA Stockholm.
